Job description
Part-Time Nanny & Household Assistant We are seeking a reliable, organized, and caring individual to join our family as a Part-Time Nanny & Household Assistant. This role combines childcare with light household management to help keep the client home running smoothly. We value kindness, consistency, initiative, and respect, and we’re looking for someone who will become a trusted part of our family’s daily routine. Responsibilities Childcare * Provide attentive, nurturing, and engaging care for the children. * Prepare healthy, kid-friendly breakfasts, lunches, snacks, and simple dinners. * Plan age-appropriate educational and recreational activities. * Assist with homework and provide tutoring support in subjects appropriate to the children’s grade levels. * Encourage good manners, independence, and positive behavior. * Maintain a safe, clean, and structured environment for the children. Household Support * Perform routine housekeeping duties, including: * Vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping * Dusting and wiping surfaces * Kitchen cleaning and dishwashing * Bathroom cleaning * Laundry, folding, and putting away clothes * Changing bed linens as needed * Keep the client home tidy, clean, and organized on a daily basis. * Organize closets, playrooms, pantry, and household spaces to maintain an efficient and clutter-free client home. * Restock household essentials and notify the family when supplies are running low. Meal Preparation * Prepare simple, nutritious, and kid-friendly meals and snacks. * Assist with basic family meal preparation as needed. * Follow any dietary preferences or food allergies. * Clean the kitchen after meal preparation. Qualifications * Previous experience as a nanny, household assistant, or in a similar role. * Experience tutoring or assisting children with schoolwork. * Strong organizational and time management skills. * Ability to multitask and work independently. * Patient, dependable, trustworthy, and professional. * Excellent communication skills. * CPR/First Aid certification is an asset. * Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are an asset (if applicable).
