In this role, you will manage floor inventory and bulk silo data to balance supplier lead times with daily production needs. Your main focus is to keep operations lean while actively preventing both stockouts and overstocking. You will collaborate closely with the production scheduler, shipping teams, and global vendors to keep the facility running smoothly. Strong English communication skills are required to coordinate with international carriers and handle logistics challenges.

• Comprehensive health, dental, and life insurance benefits package provided upon permanent conversion.
• Short-Term Disability (STD), Long-Term Disability (LTD), and an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for holistic well-being.
• Registered Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP) contribution match and DPSP program up to 5% after one year of employment.
• Eligibility for an annual discretionary lump-sum performance bonus based on corporate financial achievements.
• Stable daytime work schedule from Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, promoting strong work-life balance.
• Two weeks of paid vacation to start, increasing over time to support long-term career satisfaction.
• A collaborative, close-knit facility culture featuring employee appreciation events, summer barbecues, golf tournaments, and holiday parties.

Responsibilities
• Effectively communicates with 3rd parties to ensure best interests of the business are met when securing raw materials.
• Interacts with trucking companies and third-party logistics providers to issue and track pick-up requests.
• Maintains and supplies relevant KPI data and manufacturing & logistics operational reports to the management team.
• Interacts daily with the production Scheduler to ensure all material planning functions align perfectly with shifting plant demand.
• Runs three critical inventory and procurement reports every morning focusing on raw materials, auxiliary components, and packaging.
• Evaluates and releases 10 to 12 material purchase recommendations daily through the corporate ERP system.
• Monitors bulk silo readings and directly walks the production floor to visually cross-check physical inventory levels.
• Collaborates daily with the Receiving Department to confirm raw material deliveries and update incoming logistics logs.
• Manages inventory parameters closely to maintain minimum stock levels and quickly addresses slow-moving or obsolete inventory.
• Analyzes and balances raw material levels to reduce the financial impact of excess warehouse stock on company working capital.
• Acts as an active and collaborative member of the plant’s annual physical inventory auditing team
• Additional responsibilities as required.

Qualifications
• College diploma or university degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business Administration, or a matching technical discipline.
• Minimum of 2 years of dedicated material planning or inventory control experience within an MRP-driven manufacturing setting.
• Deep understanding of ERP systems; candidates with expert-level experience in Oracle, NetSuite, or JD Edwards are highly welcome and eligible for SAP training.
• Comfortable working 100% on-site within a heavy industrial manufacturing facility environment that can occasionally be loud.
• Possession of, or willingness to acquire, steel-toed safety boots for regular plant floor walks and physical counts.
• Excellent professional attendance history and a strong commitment to punctuality in a shift-aligned manufacturing environment.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel capabilities, including the confident use of V-lookups and data filters to analyze inventory trends.
• Proven analytical skills with the ability to interpret erratic demand patterns and adjust material planning schedules accordingly.
• Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills to manage vendor relationships and collaborate with internal plant departments.
• High level of adaptability and stress tolerance when production schedules change rapidly and previous planning work must be adjusted.
• Strong organizational skills to handle multiple material procurement priorities simultaneously in a busy manufacturing environment
