AOI Manufacturing Technician / Production Support Operator for our client, a leading advanced manufacturing organization. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented and quality-focused professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced production environment and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
In this role, you will be responsible for conducting product testing and inspections, maintaining inventory controls, supporting production operations, and collaborating with Engineering and Manufacturing teams to ensure high-quality product output and operational efficiency.
- Pay Rate: $ 19.00/hour
- Location: West end Ottawa, ON
- Shift: Monday to Friday | 8:00am - 4:00pm

Responsibilities: Production & Testing - Perform repetitive testing and verification activities to support fault identification and product differentiation.
- Conduct product inspections and testing according to established procedures and quality standards.
- Accurately document inspection results, testing outcomes, and production data.
- Monitor products and processes to ensure compliance with manufacturing specifications.
Quality Assurance & Process Improvement - Identify discrepancies in documentation, product quality, materials, or manufacturing processes.
- Escalate issues and recommend process improvements and corrective actions.
- Support root cause investigations by gathering information and data for Engineering and Technical teams.
- Collaborate with Engineering to implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Identify and communicate corrective action requirements to support quality and operational performance.
Inventory & Systems Administration - Maintain inventory levels in accordance with process documentation and production requirements.
- Order and verify printed labels to ensure they are accurate and assigned to the correct production orders.
- Perform required computer transactions using manufacturing systems and software tools.
- Maintain accurate records and tracking documentation.
Team Support - Provide day-to-day operational support to the Manufacturing Team Lead.
- Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Quality, and Technical teams to achieve operational objectives.
- Assist with troubleshooting production issues and process-related concerns.
- Support departmental initiatives and production goals as required.
Safety & Housekeeping - Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Ensure equipment and workstations are properly maintained and kept in orderly condition.
- Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and performance standards.
- Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement within the workplace .
Qualifications and Skills: - High School Diploma (Grade 12) or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing, production, quality inspection, or electronics environment preferred.
- Experience working with testing procedures, quality documentation, or production reporting is considered an asset.
- Proficiency with computer applications and production systems, including:
- Microsoft Excel
- SFDC (Salesforce)
- Agile
- Other manufacturing and inventory management systems
- Experience with inventory control and production tracking systems is an asset.
- Ability to accurately document observations, testing results, and process changes.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to identify quality concerns and process discrepancies.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a production environment.
- Commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
- Mu st be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
