Component Attach Operator for our client, a leading electronics manufacturing organization. This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented manufacturing professional with experience in SMT processes, quality inspection, and automated production equipment.
In this role, you will be responsible for setting up and operating automatic and semi-automatic production equipment used in the manufacturing of electronic products. You will work closely with Manufacturing Team Leads, Engineering, and Quality teams to ensure products meet quality standards while supporting production efficiency and continuous improvement initiatives.

- Shift: Monday to Friday | 8:00am - 4:00pm

Responsibilities: Production Operations - Set up and operate a variety of automatic and semi-automatic manufacturing equipment.
- Follow process sheets, work instructions, and verbal direction to perform production activities.
- Monitor equipment performance and verify production output against established specifications and tolerances.
- Conduct repetitive testing and inspections to identify product or process issues.
- Support daily production objectives while maintaining quality and productivity standards.
Quality & Inspection - Perform product inspections and testing according to established procedures.
- Accurately document inspection and testing results.
- Identify discrepancies in documentation, product quality, materials, or processes.
- Recommend corrective actions and process improvements when issues are identified.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and manufacturing procedures.
Inventory & Documentation - Maintain inventory levels in accordance with process requirements.
- Order and verify printed labels and ensure they are correctly assigned to planned production orders.
- Complete required computer transactions using company systems and software.
- Record and maintain accurate production, quality, and inventory data on a daily basis.
Continuous Improvement & Technical Support - Support Manufacturing Team Leads with daily operational requirements.
- Assist Engineers and Technicians in gathering information for root cause investigations and corrective action activities.
- Collaborate with Engineering teams to implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Identify and communicate process improvements that enhance quality, efficiency, and productivity.
- Contribute to troubleshooting and resolution of manufacturing issues.
Qualifications and Skills: - Grade 12 diploma or equivalent required.
- 1-2 years of related manufacturing, production, assembly, or electronics experience.
- Experience working with automated production equipment is considered an asset.
- Experience in electronics manufacturing is preferred.
- General knowledge of Surface Mount Technology (SMT) processes.
- Familiarity with:
- Pick & Place equipment
- Screen Printing processes
- Reflow operations
- Knowledge of PCB handling procedures.
- Understanding of ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) practices.
- Working knowledge of IPC-A-610 standards.
- Experience with Fuji and Universal equipment is considered a strong asset.
- Comfortable using manufacturing software and computer applications such as:
- Excel
- SFDC
- Agile
- Other production tracking systems
- Exceptional attention to detail and process control.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to accurately document observations, changes, and production activities.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to accuracy.
- Mu st be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
