Job description
The Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician to join a growing team in Waterdown. This role is ideal for a proactive, hands-on professional who thrives in a "team-first" environment and enjoys a technical mix of preventative maintenance, complex troubleshooting, and a balanced electrical-mechanical workload.

2 SHIFTS OPEN:
1 X STRAIGHT DAYS - NO ROTATIONS
1 X STRAIGHT AFTERNOONS- NO ROTATIONS

Payrate: $40-48/hour depending on experience and license

Please note we are looking for individuals who have at least 5+ years of experience working in a similar role.
433a millwright certification is an asset however it is not required.

Responsibilities
-Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Execute PMs, emergency breakdowns, and project work with a 50/50 split between mechanical and electrical tasks.
-Equipment Care: Maintain and repair compressors, gearboxes, conveyors, vacuum pumps, dust collectors, pulverizing machines, rollers, and magnets.
-Systems & Automation: Work with PLC interfaces and HMIs for automated control; interpret wiring diagrams and blueprints for troubleshooting.
-Fabrication: Perform MIG/TIG welding for essential equipment repairs and maintenance.
-Safety & Compliance: Work at heights using fall protection; operate forklifts and scissor lifts safely.
-Documentation: Track and order inventory for projects; maintain precise quality and maintenance records via productivity software (SharePoint/Excel).

Qualifications
- At least 5 years of experience working in a similar environment
-License: Valid 433A Industrial Mechanic Millwright license is an asset
-Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a maintenance role within a manufacturing setting.
-Industry Background: Experience in Pharmaceutical or Chemical manufacturing environments is highly preferred.
-Technical Skills: Proficient in both Mechanical and Electrical troubleshooting; comfortable with pneumatics and dust collection systems
