Their partnership with AWS has resulted in over 4 million subscribers for advanced data storage and access. Growing from 500 to over 570 employees over the last year, their head office is located in Carlsbad, California and supported by strong Canadian presence at their Richmond, B.C. office reporting location for these new opportunities.

These are quality opportunities for Senior Firmware Engineers (2 X full time plus a contractor opportunity available) to join the Richmond development team. Designated as hybrid, your comrades are typically on site only a day or so each week.
You get to
- Take ownership of complex software components through design, development, and acceptance.
- Lead assigned new feature development across product lines
- Develop cutting edge embedded firmware while optimizing for size, speed, and power consumption.
- Bring up new SoCs, sensors, and chipsets, while interacting with cross-functional teams inclusive of Hardware, Mobile, and Cloud operations.
- Liaise with ODMs in SE Asia
What you need to succeed
- Development of sophisticated embedded firmware in wireless / IP networking domain.
- Excellent knowledge of firmware development of C / C++/ Linux / RTOS based deliverables
- Provable history of creating successful firmware solutions for high quality, reliable, applications.
- A demonstrable demeanor and history of providing leadership/mentorship to project teams.
Personally knowing many of Richmond team (some for ~ 2 decades) these opportunities are demonstrably superior, unique, and within a development environment representative of seasoned, industry veterans.
Creating products used by millions provides a level of developer satisfaction like no other. In practice, office attendance is mostly at your discretion, and exemplified by many team members working from home 4-5 days/week.These roles cannot be performed 100% remote, and you must live within reasonable commuting distance to the office.
On site attendance is not scheduled, and best described as needed/as appropriate.

- Minimum 8 years of hands-on, post-university experience developing embedded firmware / software.
- Development of sophisticated firmware in the wireless or IP networking domains.

- Provable history of creating successful firmware solutions for high quality, reliable, applications.
- A demonstrable demeanor and history of providing leadership/mentorship to project teams.
