Job Title: Forklift Operator – Receiver
Job Description
This role is based in a tire distribution warehouse, where you operate reach forklifts to unload, receive, and store tires efficiently and accurately. You use an RF scanner to check incoming deliveries, confirm quantities and locations, and place products into the correct racking. You also perform regular put-aways and order picking, helping to keep the warehouse organized and running smoothly.
Responsibilities
- Operate reach forklifts and stand-up forklifts safely to unload, move, and store tires within the warehouse.
- Use an RF scanner to scan, verify, and record incoming deliveries, ensuring accuracy of product counts and locations.
- Perform receiving tasks, including checking shipments, confirming product details, and placing tires back into appropriate racking.
- Complete put-aways by storing approximately 55–60 tires per hour by the second or third week on the job.
- Carry out order picking and material handling tasks, including working with order pickers and cherry pick equipment as needed.
- Assist with general labor duties such as unloading trucks and organizing inventory to maintain a clean and efficient warehouse.
- Support shipping and receiving processes, ensuring products are prepared and staged correctly for outbound orders.
- Lift and move tires weighing 50+ pounds repeatedly throughout the shift while following safe lifting practices.
- Maintain consistent and reliable attendance to support daily warehouse operations.
- Follow all safety protocols and warehouse procedures to ensure a secure work environment for yourself and your team.
Essential Skills
- At least 1 year of experience operating a reach forklift or order picker, with a valid third-party certification on at least one of these machines.
- Proven experience operating reach trucks, stand-up forklifts, and reach forklifts in a warehouse or distribution environment.
- Hands-on receiving experience, including placing tires or similar products back into racking and verifying incoming shipments.
- Proficiency using RF scanners for scanning, tracking, and checking inventory and deliveries.
- Experience with shipping and receiving processes and order picking in a high-volume warehouse.
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly throughout the workday.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality to meet operational needs.
- Access to your own vehicle to commute to work, as the facility is not transit accessible.

- Experience with cherry pick equipment and order picker machinery in a warehouse setting.
- Expereince in general labor and material handling in distribution or logistics environments.
- Comfort working with essential products in a stable, fast-paced warehouse operation.
- Ability to adapt to increased workload and overtime during busy seasons such as fall and spring.

Work Environment
The position is located in a tire distribution warehouse, working primarily Monday through Friday from 8:00 . to 4:30 . During busy seasons in fall and spring, overtime is available after 8 hours per day. You work on the warehouse floor operating reach forklifts, stand-up forklifts, order pickers, and cherry pick equipment, using RF scanners to manage inventory. The environment is active and physically demanding, requiring frequent lifting of 50+ pound tires and regular movement throughout the facility. Reliable personal transportation is necessary, as the site is not accessible by public transit.
