This is where you come in. We’re looking for people to join our team who are passionate about creating more sustainable, resilient and inclusive communities.

If this kind of work resonates with you, you’re in the right place.

Your role

Join our HR team as a Senior Human Resources Business Partner.

In this role, you will be a trusted strategic advisor to business leaders, partnering to align HR and talent strategies with organizational goals. As a key member of the Human Resources team, you will lead initiatives across the full employee lifecycle, influence people programs, and champion a culture of learning and purpose across assigned business units. You are empowered as an influential leader to make an impact, and the opportunity to mentor and develop others while shaping employee experience across the organization.

Reporting to the Director, Human Resources, the Senior Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) will support assigned business units across Canada and provide direct leadership to HR Coordinators. This role blends hands‑on business partnership with operational leadership, ensuring policies remain current, processes scale effectively, and the employee experience continuously improves.

Responsibilities

As a Senior HRBP, you will:

  • Develop strategic partnership with senior leadership and people managers, providing expert guidance on workforce planning, organizational design, performance management, and employee relations
  • Collaborate with leaders to develop and implement people plans that support engagement, retention, change management, and culture
  • Partner with leaders to successfully navigate organizational growth, workforce changes, and strategic priorities
  • Use data and insights, to identify workforce themes and opportunities
  • Provide direct management of HR Coordinators and mentorship, coaching, and delegation support to colleagues on the team
  • Own the HR Shared Services function as a core pillar of HR delivery, with accountability for efficient, reliable, and employee‑focused support across employee relations, compliance, onboarding, and workforce data management
  • Drive continuous improvement of shared services, identifying opportunities for process standardization, automation, and streamlined self‑serve solutions that empower employees and leaders
  • Champion Colliers’ values and cultural behaviors in all interactions, acting as a role model across the organization
  • Ensure all HR activities are delivered in compliance with employment law, corporate controls, and our annual business plan
  • Deliver regular updates and reporting on people plans, project progress, and key HR metrics to the Director, Human Resources
  • Proactively identify and elevate emerging issues, exercising sound judgment to ensure timely resolution

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 8 years of progressive HR business partnering experience, with a demonstrated ability to align people strategies with business objectives
  • A university degree or diploma in Human Resources, Business, or a related field (or an equivalent combination of education and practical experience)
  • Bilingualism in English and French is considered a strong asset
  • CPHR designation is considered an asset
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence leaders and collaborate across cross‑functional teams
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with experience using workforce data to drive decisions and recommendations
  • Solid knowledge of employment law, compliance standards, and HR best practices
  • Demonstrated ownership, sound judgment, and a proactive approach to problem‑solving and delivering results

What You Can Expect

  • An opportunity to truly impact our communities
  • A flexible work environment
  • Significant professional development, training, and a mentorship program
  • An environment where people feel welcome, heard and included, regardless of their differences
  • And much more!

Join our team of difference-makers and help shape the growth of dynamic communities.
