Job descriptionFinance & Operations Manager About the Opportunity A growing and innovative organization is seeking a Finance & Operations Manager to oversee financial management while driving operational efficiency across the business. This is a hands-on leadership role that combines accounting, financial planning, inventory oversight, process improvement, and cross-functional collaboration. The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker with strong financial acumen and operational experience, capable of supporting business growth through data-driven decision making and continuous process improvements. Key Responsibilities Finance & Accounting Oversee all day-to-day accounting operations including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, payroll, and general ledger. Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. Prepare monthly financial statements, management reports, and KPI dashboards. Develop annual budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections. Monitor financial performance, analyze variances, and provide recommendations to improve profitability. Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and government reporting requirements. Coordinate year-end audit activities and liaise with external accountants and financial institutions. Maintain and strengthen internal controls and financial processes. Operations Manage operational processes to improve efficiency, productivity, and scalability. Oversee inventory controls, purchasing, and vendor management to ensure optimal inventory levels and cost management. Analyze operational KPIs and identify opportunities for process improvements. Collaborate with sales, customer service, logistics, and production teams to improve workflow and operational performance. Support supply chain planning and inventory forecasting. Develop and document operational policies, procedures, and best practices. Leadership Lead and mentor members of the finance and administrative team. Foster a collaborative, accountable, and continuous improvement culture. Partner with senior leadership to support strategic initiatives and business growth. Participate in special projects, system implementations, and process improvement initiatives. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. CPA designation is preferred. 5+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, with leadership responsibilities. Previous experience managing both finance and operational functions. Experience within manufacturing, distribution, consumer products, or a product-based business is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, inventory accounting, and cash flow management. Experience with ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple departments.
