Role Description:

We are seeking an experienced SAP IS‑U Billing Techno‑Functional Consultant with strong expertise in Billing Master Data configuration, SAP IS‑U Billing processes, and end‑to‑end utility implementations. The ideal candidate will possess deep knowledge of utility industry business processes, strong technical debugging capabilities, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams and business stakeholders to deliver high‑quality solutions within project timelines.

Expectation from Role:

Functional & Configuration Responsibilities

• Lead and support SAP IS‑U Billing configurations and enhancements across utility billing processes.
• Configure and maintain Billing Master Data, including rate categories, billing classes, operands, rate determination, schemas, variants, and billing‑related configuration objects.
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable SAP IS‑U Billing solutions.
• Participate in full lifecycle implementations including requirement gathering, design, configuration, testing, deployment, and post‑go‑live support.
• Conduct impact assessments for new business requirements, regulatory changes, and process improvements.
• Support integration of SAP IS‑U Billing with related modules such as Device Management, Customer Service, FICA, CRM, and Meter‑to‑Cash processes.
• Prepare functional specifications and review technical design documents.

Technical & Troubleshooting Responsibilities

• Perform detailed root‑cause analysis of production issues and complex billing exceptions.
• Independently debug SAP IS‑U processes at code level using ABAP debugging techniques.
• Analyze custom programs, enhancements, BADIs, user exits, function modules, and interfaces to identify and resolve system issues.
• Collaborate with development teams to design, test, and deploy technical solutions.
• Support performance optimization and process improvements within billing and invoicing functions.

Project Delivery & Stakeholder Management

• Work closely with business users, project managers, architects, and other functional teams to ensure successful delivery of project objectives.
• Facilitate workshops, requirement discussions, and solution design sessions with business stakeholders.
• Support SIT, UAT, regression testing, and production deployment activities.
• Ensure deliverables are completed within agreed timelines and quality standards.
• Provide functional guidance and knowledge transfer to support and operations teams.

Salary Range

CA$ 100,000 — CA$ 120,000 per year.
