Nanny Wanted - Professional Household Manager For Busy Executive Family

Housekeeper / Household Manager Location:Calgary, Alberta Employment Type:Full-Time (Monday–Friday) About the Role We are seeking a highly organized, dependable, and proactive Housekeeper / Household Manager to join our family on a long-term basis. This is not a traditional nanny position. Our four children (ages 8, 11, 13, and 15) are independent and attend school full-time. The primary focus of this role is maintaining a clean, organized, and efficiently run household while providing after-school support and transportation for the children. The successful candidate will take pride in keeping a home running smoothly, enjoy cooking family meals, and have a strong eye for cleanliness, organization, and detail. We have a cleaner who comes twice a month to complete the deep cleaning. Responsibilities Housekeeping & Home Maintenance * Maintain the home to a consistently high standard between professional cleaning visits. * Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors. * Clean and sanitize kitchens and bathrooms. * Wipe countertops, sinks, mirrors, and high-touch surfaces. * Load and unload the dishwasher and wash dishes as required. * Complete family laundry, including washing, drying, folding, and putting clothing away. * Change bed linens and maintain an organized laundry room. * Make beds and keep bedrooms and common areas neat and organized. * Empty garbage and recycling. * Feed and let the family dogs outside as required. Meal Preparation * Prepare nutritious school lunches each weekday. * Plan and prepare family dinners. * Create weekly meal plans. * Order groceries and maintain household food inventory. * Keep the pantry, refrigerator, and freezer clean and organized. Household Management * Maintain organized storage areas throughout the home. * Organize closets, pantry, mudroom, basement, and storage spaces. * Maintain the Family Home Binder * Coordinate household deliveries and service appointments. * Keep household supplies stocked and advise when replenishment is required. Family Support * Pick up children from school and transport them to extracurricular activities as required. * Supervise children after school until parents arrive home. * Prepare after-school snacks. * Encourage homework completion and daily routines. * Assist children with staying organized and maintaining tidy personal spaces. * Maintain chore charts and provide reminders for age-appropriate household responsibilities. * Help organize backpacks, school supplies, lunch kits, sports equipment, and activity items. Organization & Seasonal Responsibilities * Rotate seasonal clothing and organize wardrobes. * Label children's clothing and personal belongings. * Identify outgrown clothing and prepare donation items with family approval. * Organize seasonal decorations, sports equipment, and household storage. * Maintain organized household inventory and storage systems. Qualifications * Previous experience in housekeeping, household management, family assistance, or a similar role. * Valid driver's licence with a clean driving record. * Comfortable transporting school-aged children. * Strong cooking and meal preparation skills. * Excellent organizational and time management abilities. * High attention to detail and cleanliness. * Self-motivated with the ability to work independently. * Trustworthy, reliable, professional, and respectful of family privacy.
