Your new role
Omicron is hiring a Senior Electrical Lead to support our expanding portfolio ofmercial, residential, industrial, and institutional projects. Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Design & Engineering, you'll work within our integrated design-build environment and collaborate closely with architects, engineers, designers, builders, and project managers from concept through construction.This role offers the opportunity to provide technical leadership onplex projects while helping shape the future of Omicron's electrical engineering practice.
What You’ll Do :
- Lead the design and coordination of power distribution, lighting, life safety, andmunications systems
- Provide technical leadership onplex building projects
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams throughout all project phases and support project delivery from concept through construction
- Contribute to technical standards, quality assurance, and continuous improvement initiatives
Beyond project delivery, you will help shape the future of the department by contributing to technical standards, supporting process improvements, and helping expand the capabilities of the electrical engineering team as it grows. What you'll need to succeed
- P.Eng. designation in British Columbia
- 10+ years of electrical engineering experience, including 3+ years on North American projects
- Strong knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code, BC Building Code, and National Building Code
- Experience designing power distribution, lighting, life safety, andmunications systems
- Revit/BIM coordination, contract administration, and field review experience
- Strongmunication, leadership, and collaboration skills
