The successful candidate will demonstrate technical expertise, strong project management skills, and the ability to provide strategic advice to legal teams on eDiscovery best practices.

This role requires a proactive, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a collaborative environment and is comfortable working under tight deadlines. The eDiscovery Case Manager will work closely with other members of the Osler Works - Disputes (OWD) team, including the Head of OWD, Review Managers, Lawyers, Litigation Support Specialists, and other Case Managers, to deliver exceptional results.

This job posting is for an existing vacancy.

  • Work closely with Litigation Support Specialists to process, ingest, and produce documents and ESI from Relativity and other Review platforms
  • Assist with the implementation of defensible data collection methods, both by advising on best practices and by conducting on-site collections when necessary
  • Troubleshoot technical issues related to eDiscovery tools and processes, leveraging advanced troubleshooting skills and technical knowledge
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation of workflows, processes, and project-specific protocols

Collaboration and Teamwork

  • Generate reports and analytics for legal teams to assist with case strategy and decision-making
  • Assist in quality control (QC) processes to ensure the integrity and accuracy of document productions

  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to anticipate and mitigate risks
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients, lawyers, paraprofessionals, and external vendors
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with a team-oriented approach to collaboration
  • Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner
  • Ability to work under stressful conditions while maintaining a high level of professionalism and composure
  • Strong understanding of eDiscovery best practices, legal and regulatory requirements, and industry standards
