Job description
Are you looking to build a career in manufacturing and distribution with comprehensive on-the-job training? Randstad is seeking a dedicated and safety-conscious Distribution Plant Operator for a full-time, permanent opportunity in Sturgeon, AB.

In this fast-paced, entry-level role, you will earn $25.00 per hour managing the entire lifecycle of finished products—from precision preparation and packaging to final storage. This position features a Monday to Friday schedule with 12-hour shifts (rotational shift).

Responsibilities
Safely and efficiently operate a sit-down forklift to move, load, and organize materials and finished goods throughout the facility.
Use scales to accurately fill packaged products and prepare packaging materials with appropriate labels for current and following shifts.
Clean, handle, and safely store packaged products, coordinating seamlessly with the shipping and receiving team to ensure storage locations are accurate and organized.
Adhere strictly to all Safe Work Practices and regulations, actively participate in weekly toolbox talks, and consistently wear required PPE (respirators, SCBA, coveralls, etc.).


Qualifications
Prior experience operating a Sit-Down Forklift is highly must to support daily distribution and storage tasks.
Must have the physical ability to routinely lift up to 50 lbs and work comfortably in environments that may involve high temperatures while wearing full safety gear.
Must be highly punctual for shift changes, possess a strong work ethic, and demonstrate the ability to work well under pressure.
A valid Class 5 driver’s license is required.
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent is required.
