Asset Support Consultant Job Description
The Asset Support Consultant provides hands-on technical support for end-user devices, focusing on high-volume imaging, configuration, deployment, and lifecycle management of laptops and other IT equipment. This role supports and executes IT projects, resolves complex technical issues across Windows, macOS, and Linux environments, and contributes to continuous improvement of IT operations through process optimization and technical innovation.
Responsibilities
- Perform high-volume imaging and configuration of laptops and other end-user IT equipment to ensure devices are ready for deployment.
- Support and execute IT projects related to imaging, deployment, and lifecycle management of end-user equipment.
- Develop and implement technical solutions to improve operational efficiency and overall service quality for end users.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex IT issues across multiple operating systems.
- Provide escalation support for challenging technical problems that require advanced troubleshooting and analysis.
- Mentor junior team members by sharing knowledge, guiding best practices, and supporting their technical development.
- Create and maintain clear technical documentation, including standard operating procedures and knowledge base articles.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry best practices, and propose innovative solutions to enhance IT operations.
- Support helpdesk and desk-side activities by responding to tickets, resolving incidents, and assisting users in a timely and professional manner.
- Coordinate with logistics and warehouse functions to ensure accurate handling, tracking, and distribution of IT assets.
Essential Skills
- At least 2 years of experience supporting Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems in a corporate environment.
- At least 3 years of experience working in a helpdesk or desk-side support environment.
- Proficiency in imaging, configuring, and deploying laptops and other end-user devices at scale.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across Windows, macOS, and Linux platforms.
- Experience supporting end users in a structured IT support setting, including ticketing and incident management.
- Ability to develop and implement practical technical solutions to improve IT operations.
- Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Ability to create, update, and maintain technical documentation and standard operating procedures.
- Solid understanding of IT asset handling within logistics or warehouse environments.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience working with logistics or warehouse operations related to IT asset management.
- Familiarity with lifecycle management of end-user equipment, including deployment, maintenance, and decommissioning.
- Experience mentoring or supporting junior technical staff.
- Interest in staying current with emerging technologies and industry best practices.
- Ability to propose and communicate innovative ideas to improve IT services and processes.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Vancouver, BC.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $32.00 - $32.00/hr.
