Kelly is hiring for a Millwright Maintenance Planner for a 10-month contract role at Fort Saskatchewan AB with our prestigious client.
Job Title: Millwright Maintenance Planner Primary Location: Fort Saskatchewan AB 12 + month contract - Onsite role Shift: 4×10s, Monday–Thursday (6:30 am to 5:00 pm). Pay rate: $55 - 63/hr on T4. Job description: • Creates maintenance job packages from the work order scope which contains all of the information regarding required labor, material, and services to ensure safe, effective, and efficient execution of the work.
• Build the detailed job steps within SAP to support the overall job plan.
• Use expertise in the millwright discipline to develop plans for rotating and mechanical equipment.
Responsibilities / Duties • Uses feedback from the person doing the work to optimize the work plans.
Reviews work orders for technical completeness and returns work orders to gatekeeper, if not complete.
• Carries out field checks, when needed.
Prepares job package and inputs plan into SAP indicating the required resources, materials, and services.
• Identifies task activities necessary to execute job plan, and identifies materials/tools/equipment required to perform tasks.
Identifies/solicits safety information and requirements necessary to safely perform tasks.
• Supports Maintenance Procedure Use Policy by ensuring all job packages include a procedure or the task is on the Procedure Exemption list before the job package is released.
Qualifications • Must have obtained a high school diploma/equivalent PLUS a Journeyman Certificate, Red Seal Designation, OR two year degree (or higher). *In lieu of a Journeyman Certificate, a minimum of 10 years of relevant maintenance experience in the specified discipline may be considered equivalent.
• A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience (i.e. journeyman, maintenance, manufacturing, project management, etc.).
• Prior maintenance field planning experience is preferred.
• Ability to safely work in a plant environment, meet physical demands, work at elevated heights, and comfortably use PPE and safety equipment. Must be familiar with or open to training on proper equipment usage.
Education / Credentials: High school + Journey Certificate (Millwright) required.
Soft Skills / Team Fit: Team?based environment; planners sit together
Collaboration experience preferred.
Work Schedule: 4×10s, Monday–Thursday.
Typical shifts: 6:30–5:00; some work 6:00–4:30 (flexible within that range).
On?Site / Travel / Safety: Driving not required; no TWIC.
PPE Provided by Company: coveralls, hard hat, safety glasses.
Primarily office role with field visits.
