Job Description
EBC thinks outside the box and deploys all its know-how to carry out major infrastructure projects: bridges, roads, highways, tunnels, marine installations. Our ability to meet deadlines and budgets as well as our vast expertise in the field allow us to actively participate in large-scale projects such as the Samuel-De-Champlain Bridge, the Réseau Express Métropolitain (REM) and the Site C hydro-electric power station located near Fort St-John in British Columbia.

Our seasoned team of engineers, project managers and other specialists also put their energy into the construction of wind farms and to the benefit of hydroelectric projects such as dams, power stations, tunnels and dikes. EBC is positioned as a true leader in this sector. Our range of specialized services has made our reputation in Canada.

Reporting to the Project Manager the responsibilities of the Project Coordinator include:
  • Read technical and administrative project specifications;
  • Inspect work daily to ensure that it meets the specified standards;
  • Inform the Project Manager of project development and discuss methods planned with site management;
  • Order critical material with suppliers in collaboration with the Superintendent;
  • Perform quantity tracking and cost coding for purposes of productivity analysis and accurate job cost forecasting;
  • Perform duties related to the cost control cycle throughout the project execution, including tracking budgets and schedules;
  • Ensure tracking of hours, expenses, costs, and budget updates;
  • Monitor changes and coordination with the project team;
  • Record and resolve issues related to project budgets and schedules;
  • Tabulate and format information into the client format for submission;
  • Ensure the quality of prepared project reports, executive summaries, and dashboards;
  • Perform duties related to document control, including formatting documentation and maintaining records according to cloud-based filing system;
  • Assist in the preparation of final records for the project, including as-builts;
  • Organize and participate in various meetings;
  • Establish and keep necessary communications between suppliers, sub-contractors, professionals and client;
  • Assist in carrying out a variety of field duties at the job site related to project.


Requirements


  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Civil Engineering program or similar, or a combination of technical training and/or related experience;
  • 2-5 years of industry experience;
  • Experience in construction industry (civil preferred);
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical design drawings;
  • Experience with scheduling and planning site activities;
  • Excellent command of computer software including Microsoft Office Suite, MS Project, BlueBeam, AutoCAD, etc.
  • Cost analysis, control, and reporting;
  • Bilingual (an asset), but proficiency in English language with excellent communication skills (written and verbal) is required.

In accordance with applicable pay transparency legislation, EBC Inc. has included the expected salary range for this role, which is $60,000 - $100,000. Compensation within the range is determined based on relevant experience, qualifications, localization, and internal equity. Base salary is one component of EBC’s comprehensive total rewards offering, which may include performance-based incentives, extended health and wellness benefits, retirement savings programs, and career development opportunities.
