Job description

Job Description

What if you could redefine what's possible? With us, you can. You want Purpose. Growth. Opportunity. People who get it.

We are the home of ambitious, passionate, and innovative world shapers.

With an unmatched breadth and depth of engineering, advisory and science‑based expertise, our global minds unite to power local solutions.

We are pathfinders and impact makers. We are Visioneers. We are WSP.

The Opportunity – Build the Future with Us

Lead quality excellence in one of the most demanding and impactful sectors. As a Quality Manager – Nuclear, you will play a critical role in shaping the implementation, governance and continuous improvement of nuclear projects. This is an opportunity to influence complex, high‑stake programs that directly support energy transition and long‑term sustainability. The role acts as the central authority and interface for quality within the nuclear division, translating CSA N286/N299 and client‑specific quality requirements into practical, auditable processes that support project teams throughout the full lifecycle of nuclear work (design, procurement, construction support, and decommissioning).

This position will ideally be located in one of our Greater Toronto Area offices as it may require you to visit client sites across Ontario as needed.

Your Impact

  • Lead the implementation, maintenance, and evolution of the Nuclear Quality Management System, ensuring alignment with CSA N286, CSA N299, ISO 9001, and client requirements.
  • Establish and maintain nuclear quality governance frameworks, including policies, procedures, and clear roles, responsibilities, and authorities.
  • Ensure ongoing audit readiness and regulatory compliance, supporting internal, client (e.g., utilities), and nuclear oversight expectations.
  • Oversee supplier quality programs, including qualification, Approved Supplier List (ASL) management, and ongoing evaluation in line with N299 requirements.
  • Partner with project teams to embed quality processes, manage risks, and provide expert guidance across proposals, project delivery, and issue resolution.
  • Plan and execute audits and surveillance activities, tracking non‑conformances, corrective actions, and quality performance indicators to drive accountability.
  • Champion a strong nuclear safety and quality culture through training, knowledge sharing, and alignment with CSA N286 principles.
  • Drive continuous improvement by leveraging lessons learned, operational experience, and performance data to strengthen the Nuclear Quality Program.

The Skills That Set You Apart

  • 10–15 years of experience in engineering, quality, or project management, including direct exposure to nuclear sector environments.
  • Demonstrated expertise in CSA N286, CSA N299, ISO 9001, and the implementation and maintenance of nuclear Quality Assurance programs.
  • Strong understanding of nuclear project delivery, including engineering design lifecycle, procurement, supplier quality (N299), and compliance processes.
  • Proven experience working in consulting or engineering services environments, supporting complex, multi‑project portfolios.
  • Familiarity with CNSC regulatory expectations and utility‑driven quality requirements within nuclear programs.
  • Strong leadership and influence skills, with the ability to guide teams and stakeholders without direct authority.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, effectively bridging technical and non‑technical audiences.
  • Highly organized and analytical, with strong problem‑solving capabilities and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Willingness to travel within Canada and eligibility to obtain required security clearances.
