What will your typical day look like?

• Architect end to end data platforms on Azure and align designs to business outcomes.
• Define lakehouse standards, metadata driven ingestion, partitioning strategies, Role Based Access Controls, and semantic models for analytics.
• Architect data governance and lineage solutions with Microsoft Purview or similar DG service, including cataloging, classification, sensitivity labels, and access controls.
• Integrate Azure Databricks and / or MS Fabric to enhance batch/stream processing, Spark based transformations, and Delta Lake patterns.
• Produce reference architectures, roadmaps, and solution documents; review designs and guide delivery teams through build and deployment.
• Establish CI/CD (Azure DevOps/Git), environment configuration, and automated provisioning for dev/test/prod; monitor reliability, performance, and cost.
• Lead and mentor architects/engineers; drive reusable frameworks, coding standards, and architecture review checkpoints.

About the team

You are someone with these required skills, experience and qualifications:
• Bachelor’s/Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 7–10 years in data architecture/engineering, including 5+ years leading Azure centric platform initiatives.
• Deep expertise with Microsoft Fabric and / or Azure Databricks.
• Strong SQL, PySpark, and Spark notebooks experience in enterprise environments.
• Hands on with Microsoft Purview for governance and lineage across Fabric assets.
• Proficient with Azure DevOps/Git and infrastructure automation for repeatable deployments.
• Proven stakeholder leadership—able to shape direction, make trade offs, and guide delivery teams.
It would be great for you to have some of these nice to haves as well:
• Certifications: DP 700 (Fabric Data Engineer Associate) and/or AZ 305 (Azure Solutions Architect Expert), Databricks Data Engineer (Associate or Professional).
• Familiarity enabling generative AI scenarios on Fabric (e.g., Copilot, AI Foundry).
• Experience with Unity Catalog, Fabric SQL Lakehouse, and advanced semantic modeling.

Due to the nature of the role having interactions with National & Global clients, bilingualism in French and English is required for this position

The salary range for this position is $84,000 - $175,000, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program.
