Mechanical & Chemical Engineering Student - Fall

As an Engineering Student Mechanical/Chemical/Process you will join the Nuclear Engineering team and contribute to innovative projects that support the development and delivery of world-class nuclear technologies. This co-op opportunity provides hands-on experience exposure to multidisciplinary engineering environments and the chance to apply engineering principles in real-world project settings.
Your Role
- Support Engineers Discipline Leads and Engineering Managers in day-to-day engineering activities and coordination
- Assist in the development and assembly of engineering deliverables for nuclear and conventional mechanical systems
- Contribute to project execution in accordance with AtkinsRealis Inc. / Candu Energy Quality Assurance Programs and project requirements
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including Document Control Project Management and field teams on assigned task scopes
- Collaborate with members of the nuclear team to support workflow document reviews and Request for Information (RFI) activities
- Attend technical and project coordination meetings to support project delivery
- Promote a positive team environment while contributing to engineering and project management activities
About You
- Ability to apply mechanical chemical or process engineering fundamentals to develop practical engineering solutions
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word Excel and PowerPoint
- Aptitude for planning organization multitasking and coordination in a dynamic environment
- Currently enrolled in a Mechanical Chemical Industrial or related field Engineering Program with an accredited Canadian University
- Basic knowledge of analytical and design tools (e.g. MATLAB and/or MathCAD) is an asset
