Job description
What the Intern Will Achieve Contribute to building a structured Government Relations storyline by priority sector in Canada, linking policy challenges to business opportunities Help articulate key policy priorities, economic implications, and Schneider Electric’s role by sector Enable more consistent and efficient engagement through reusable briefings, talking points, and narratives Strengthen the team’s ability to anticipate and respond to policy developments with business-aligned insights Gain experience at the intersection of public policy, business strategy, and executive engagement Key Responsibilities Analyze legislation, budgets, and policy announcements across key sectors (energy, electrification, digital infrastructure) Translate policy developments into clear business implications and opportunities Support development of sector-specific Government Relations narratives Draft concise executive briefings, backgrounders, and talking points Build and maintain a repository of reusable messaging and briefing materials Create templates, trackers, and formats to standardize outputs and improve efficiency Support strategic initiatives, including policy positioning and stakeholder mapping Skills & Profile Currently enrolled in or recently graduated ( or later) in Political Science, Public Policy, Public Administration, or a related field. Strong understanding of public policy and regulatory environments Ability to synthesize complex information into clear, actionable insights Excellent writing skills in English and French Autonomous, resourceful, and able to work with limited direction Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities Curious, proactive, and motivated to connect policy with business impact What Success Looks Like Delivers high-quality, executive-ready briefings Brings structure and reusability to GR content and outputs Identifies relevant policy developments and their business impact early Becomes a trusted support across Government Relations and Strategy teams Ready to gain experience that matters?
