Job description
Adecco is currently hiring a full-time reliable and customer-focused Food Service Worker / Kitchen Helper to join a busy food service operation. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, providing excellent customer service, and supporting daily kitchen and dining operations.
You will assist with food preparation, dishwashing, cleanliness, and customer service while helping maintain a safe and organized work environment. If you enjoy working with people, thrive in a busy environment, and are passionate about delivering excellent service, we want to hear from you.
  • Pay Rate: $ 17.60/hour
  • Location: Trenton, ON

Responsibilities:
  • Clean dishes, trays, utensils, and kitchen equipment using industrial dishwashers
  • Remove and organize clean dishes from dishwashing stations
  • Inspect dishes, utensils, and equipment to ensure cleanliness and quality standards are met
  • Wash pots, pans, and other kitchen equipment by hand as required
  • Assist cooks with basic food preparation, including washing, peeling, and cutting vegetables
  • Serve customers at food service and deli counters
  • Greet customers and provide friendly, professional service
  • Replenish utensils, condiments, beverages, and service stations throughout the shift
  • Ensure fountain drink stations remain stocked and clean
  • Collect garbage and transport waste to designated disposal areas
  • Clean dining and service areas, including wiping tables and maintaining overall cleanliness
  • Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace health and safety procedures
  • Support kitchen and dining room operations as required
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Previous food service, cafeteria, restaurant, hospitality, or kitchen experience is an asset
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable performing physical tasks, including standing for extended periods and lifting as required
  • Team-oriented with a positive attitude
  • Strong attention to cleanliness, organization, and food safety
  • Reliable, punctual, and dependable
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently when needed
  • Mu st be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
