Job description
Are you an experienced logistics professional looking for a stable, long-term opportunity in a thriving warehouse environment? Randstad is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Warehouse Receiver to join the manufacturing & logistics team of one of our top clients in Guelph, Ontario. This is an exceptional full-time opportunity offering a reliable, straight day shift from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. If you are looking for a role that offers steady hours, a competitive pay rate of $21.50 per hour, and an abundance of room for internal career growth, this Warehouse Receiver position in Guelph is the perfect fit for you.

As a primary Warehouse Receiver, you will play a critical role within the broader manufacturing & logistics framework. You will work on-site daily in a fast-paced warehouse environment, ensuring that incoming inventory is accurately counted, inspected, and processed. This position requires someone who thrives on teamwork and is eager to collaborate directly with the internal shipping and receiving department to keep operations moving seamlessly. Whether you already possess extensive experience operating material handling equipment or are enthusiastic about expanding your skill set, our client provides an environment focused on long-term career progression and skill enhancement.

In today's interconnected supply chain, clear communication is essential for maintaining accuracy and safety. While this specific role operates primarily within an English-speaking warehouse environment in Guelph, exceptional verbal and written communication skills are highly valued. Candidates should be comfortable reading technical labels, completing digital receiving documentation, and interacting effectively with a diverse shipping and receiving team to ensure zero errors in inventory management.

At Randstad Operational, we match talented individuals with rewarding careers that power their personal and professional goals. This permanent or long-term contract opportunity is managed by our expert manufacturing & logistics recruiters, who specialize in connecting top talent with the region's best employers.

Randstad Operational: Secure a job that complements your skills, supports work-life balance, and powers your goals. Get access to a range of job opportunities through permanent, temp, or contract roles with the best employers, plus ongoing training from a trusted partner who cares about your working life and well-being.

Advantages
• Competitive hourly pay rate of $21.50 per hour paid weekly.
• Desirable, stable schedule featuring a straight day shift from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
• Excellent long-term career stability with a clear pathway for rapid internal growth and professional development.
• Comprehensive on-the-job training program for operating advanced warehouse machinery like a reach truck or order picker.
• Opportunity to work in a clean, modern, and highly supportive warehouse environment located conveniently in Guelph.
• Dedicated support from specialized Randstad Operational recruiters who are experts in the manufacturing & logistics field.

Responsibilities
• Receive incoming materials, verify freight bills against physical inventory, and inspect all packages for defects or damages.
• Unpack incoming shipments, accurately sort products, and safely pack outbound materials according to strict company guidelines.
• Collaborate daily with the shipping and receiving team to organize the warehouse floor and maintain a streamlined inventory flow.
• Update warehouse management systems and digital logs to track inventory counts and report discrepancies immediately.
• Operate material handling equipment safely or undergo structured training to become certified on specific machinery.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free warehouse environment in compliance with workplace safety standards.

Qualifications
• Proven capability in packing and unpacking merchandise efficiently within a high-volume manufacturing & logistics setting.
• Strong digital literacy with exposure to warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, or inventory tracking software.
• Excellent physical stamina, including the ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly and stand for the duration of the day shift.
• Robust collaborative skills to work effectively alongside a fast-paced shipping and receiving crew.
• Adaptability to learn new processes, including equipment operation and updated safety protocols.
• Keen attention to detail to catch discrepancies between shipping manifests and physical stock.
• Minimum of 2 years of verifiable experience working within a fast-paced warehouse environment.
• Prior experience operating a reach truck or an order picker is considered a strong asset, though a strong willingness to be trained is accepted.
• Demonstrated experience working closely with a shipping and receiving team or handling inbound freight.
• Full flexibility and commitment to working the regular day shift hours on a long-term, permanent basis.
• Reliable transportation to a manufacturing & logistics facility located within Guelph, Ontario.
• High school diploma or equivalent educational background is preferred.
