Program Director - REMOTE

In this role, you will provide strategic direction and governance for a portfolio of transformation initiatives while aligning outcomes with institutional priorities. Please note that while this position is remote, candidates must be local to Edmonton and surrounding area in order to be considered.

Responsibilities
• Govern an enterprise-wide program management framework unifying multiple projects under consistent oversight
• Advise senior leadership on aligning program management frameworks with strategic business priorities
• Guide program definition activities with sponsors to establish vision, scope, objectives, and expected outcomes
• Direct planning efforts with implementation teams to define deliverables, resource strategies, budgets, and schedules
• Provide strategic oversight and mentorship to program teams and project managers to drive execution
• Identify and engage key stakeholders to ensure timely communication throughout the program lifecycle
• Facilitate collaborative workshops with IT teams and business units to align priorities and drive decisions

Qualifications
• Bachelor degree in Information Technology, Business, or a related field
• Active PMP certification is required for this position
• Ten or more years of progressive experience in IT program and project management
• Proven record of establishing program governance in complex organizations
• Previous experience working in higher education or public sector environments is an asset
