Sous la gestion des services de Nutrition clinique en collaboration avec la gestion de la clinique du diabète, la personne titulaire du poste assure une approche centrée sur les besoins du patient, incluant la prestation d’une gamme de services de nutrition clinique et d’éducateur agréé en diabète, visant à répondre aux besoins de la clientèle externe. Elle est responsable de compléter une évaluation des besoins nutritionnels et en gestion du diabète, rédiger des rapports ainsi que la documentation clinique. Elle doit également fournir de l’enseignement individuel ou de groupe, participer activement à du travail d’équipe, à la planification et à la mise en œuvre des activités du programme de diabète. Ceci peut inclure des activités d’amélioration de la qualité, de gestion du rendement et d’élaboration de statistiques, de formation et de l’orientation de stagiaires ou autres professionnels de la santé ainsi que de la recherche.
