Superintendent – High-Rise Concrete Construction

Location: Kelowna, BC

MatchBox Consulting Group is seeking an experienced Superintendent on behalf of a well-established construction organization delivering complex high-rise projects in British Columbia.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on construction leader with a strong background in concrete formwork and structural concrete. The successful candidate will take ownership of site operations, lead field teams, and play a key role in driving project success from the ground up.

What You'll Be Doing

• Lead day-to-day site operations for a major high-rise concrete project.
• Coordinate labour, equipment, material deliveries, and site logistics.
• Manage workforce planning and short-term construction schedules.
• Work closely with project teams, consultants, trade partners, and site stakeholders.
• Review construction drawings and ensure work is executed according to plan.
• Coordinate inspections, concrete pours, and critical project milestones.
• Monitor quality, safety, productivity, and project progress.
• Identify and resolve site challenges proactively while maintaining project momentum.
• Maintain accurate site documentation, reports, and progress updates.
• Participate in project meetings and contribute to overall project planning.

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience as a Superintendent on high-rise concrete construction projects.
• Strong expertise in concrete formwork and structural concrete operations.
• Ability to lead crews, coordinate multiple stakeholders, and keep projects moving forward.
• Solid understanding of construction scheduling, sequencing, and site logistics.
• Self-motivated, resourceful, and comfortable taking ownership of responsibilities.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Practical problem solver who focuses on solutions rather than obstacles.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe, productive, and collaborative work environment.
