Senior Insurance Test Engineer (Regulatory Systems)
Take part in insurance technology initiatives focused on regulatory compliance, software testing, automation, and quality assurance. Collaborate with Agile teams on business-critical projects involving SQL, validation, and process improvement in a dynamic hybrid work environment.
What is in it for you:
• Salaried: $67-77 per hour.
• Incorporated Business Rate: $77-87 per hour.
• 2-month contract with a strong possibility of extension.
• Day schedule, 37.50 hours per week.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and execute detailed test plans to ensure software and systems comply with insurance industry regulatory standards.
• Conduct compliance testing to verify adherence to applicable laws and regulations, including data privacy, cybersecurity, and financial reporting requirements.
• Prepare and maintain detailed documentation of test results, compliance status, and issues identified during testing.
• Maintain and calibrate test equipment to ensure accurate and reliable testing.
• Continuously improve testing processes and procedures to increase efficiency and accuracy.
• Provide training and guidance to team members on regulatory compliance and testing procedures.
• Participate in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
• Perform manual and automated testing for Windows and web-based applications.
• Develop software test plans based on user requirements and system specifications.
• Write and review test scripts.
• Report and track defects using Jira and Test Track.
• Apply Agile methodologies throughout the testing lifecycle.
• Contribute to test strategy development, test planning, test specification, test estimation, test execution, and test coordination.
• Prepare test completion reports, weekly status reports, daily status reports, and manage defects.
• Perform end-to-end testing, system integration testing, system testing, regression testing, business functionality testing, and integration testing.
• Manage testing deliverables, provide timely status updates to management, and escalate issues when required.
What you will need to succeed:
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Information Technology, or related industry experience.
• Strong knowledge of the insurance industry, including regulations and standards related to GISA, Facility Association, and GAA.
• Deep understanding of the insurance policy lifecycle.
• Previous experience in regulatory reporting, business analysis, underwriting, or a related role within the insurance industry.
• Strong regulatory and business knowledge.
• Experience with test analysis and validation.
• Strong data analysis skills, including SQL expertise.
• Experience with Oracle e-Business Suite.
• Experience with web testing, regression testing, functional testing, and test automation.
• Experience developing software test plans based on user requirements and system specifications.
• Experience writing and reviewing test scripts.
• Experience reporting and tracking defects using Jira and Test Track.
• Experience with Agile methodologies.
• Experience in test strategy, test planning, test specification, test estimation, test execution, and test coordination.
• Experience preparing test completion reports, weekly status reports, daily status reports, and managing defects.
• Experience performing end-to-end testing, system integration testing, system testing, regression testing, business functionality testing, and integration testing.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to manage testing deliverables, provide timely status reporting, and escalate issues when necessary.
