Business Representative - Desjardins Agent Team Member

As a Business Representative, you will play a key role in cultivating long-term relationships and providing personalized insurance, life insurance, and benefits solutions that protect what matters most. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys networking, engaging with local businesses and community organizations, and serving as a trusted advisor to clients throughout their life and business journeys.
Salary Range: $42,000 - $60,000
Responsibilities:
- Develop leads, schedule appointments, identify customer needs, and market appropriate products and services.
- Provide prompt, accurate, and friendly customer service. Service can include responding to inquiries regarding insurance availability, eligibility, coverages, policy changes, transfers, claim submissions and billing clarification.
- Work with the agent to establish and meet marketing goals.
Requirements:
- OTL/RIBO and/or Life License preferred (or willingness to obtain).
- A genuine passion for helping people and making a positive impact in the community.
- Experience in relationship management, customer service, sales, business development, or financial services.
- Strong networking and interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust quickly.
- Excellent communication skills, including active listening and consultative conversations.
- Ability to identify client needs and recommend tailored solutions.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and goal-oriented mindset.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Comfortable presenting solutions to individuals, families, and business owners.
- Insurance, life insurance, employee benefits, or financial services experience is considered an asset.

You will be hired to work at The Personal Insurance Company (“The Personal”) for a period of up to 60 days to allow you to complete training and licensing. If training and licensing are successfully completed, you will be considered for employment with an independent contractor Desjardins Agent.
