About this position:
The Kamloops South Shore UPCLC provides team-based care for individuals requiring same-day attention for non-emergency health concerns. Conveniently located on the Royal Inland Hospital campus, the UPCLC offers access to urgent primary care services seven days a week, including statutory holidays, and serves patients who may not have a family physician or who are unable to access their regular primary care provider.
For the Physiotherapist, the UPCLC offers the opportunity to work within an innovative, interdisciplinary primary care environment focused on improving timely access to care. Physiotherapists collaborate closely with family physicians, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, social workers, and mental health and substance use clinicians to support patients presenting with a range of urgent musculoskeletal and functional concerns.
As part of the primary care team, you’ll have an important role in early assessment, treatment, patient education, and the development of individualized management plans. By providing timely intervention and promoting evidence-based self-management strategies, physiotherapists help improve patient outcomes while supporting appropriate utilization of healthcare resources.
As a Learning Centre, the UPCLC embraces a collaborative culture of education, innovation, and continuous quality improvement. This environment creates opportunities for professional growth, interdisciplinary learning, and participation in a model of care that supports both patient outcomes and healthcare workforce development.
