Live-In Household Assistant / Student Accommodation Opportunity **Live-in only | Available late August 2026 | Minimum commitment through June 2027** **Location:** Mount Pleasant & Lawrence, Toronto **Hours:** Approximately 4:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m., Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend help and some flexibility depending on our family's schedule. We are a friendly family with three active boys (ages 16, 15 and 11) looking for a mature, responsible live-in household assistant to help keep our busy home running smoothly. This opportunity is ideal for a university or college student, graduate student, or recent graduate looking for affordable accommodation in Toronto in exchange for part-time household support. We provide a private furnished basement bedroom and bathroom with a separate entrance, all meals, utilities, Wi-Fi, parking (if needed), and a small weekly allowance. Our boys are busy with competitive hockey and other sports, so every evening looks a little different. We're looking for someone who enjoys being around kids, likes to cook, and is happy to become a dependable part of our household. **What the role looks like** Your main household responsibilities each weekday include preparing and cooking dinner for the family, helping with meal prep, laundry, and light household tidying. You'll also occasionally drive the boys to nearby hockey practices, games, activities, or playdates (vehicle provided). Our evenings often revolve around hockey. While one parent is out driving the older boys to practices or games—or travelling for work—we need a responsible adult at home with our youngest son. Our 11-year-old is very independent but enjoys having someone around to chat with, play a board game or card game, shoot some hoops in the driveway, or simply keep him company while he does homework or winds down for the evening. Many nights, once dinner is finished and everyone is settled, you'll have time to study, watch TV, read, or relax while simply being available if needed. We also have a friendly small dog and a backyard swimming pool, so we're looking for someone who is comfortable around both. ### Typical responsibilities * Prepare and cook weekday family dinners * Meal planning and light meal prep * Laundry and light household tidying * Drive the boys to nearby activities and hockey (vehicle provided) * Run occasional errands * Be home with our 11-year-old while a parent is away, providing companionship and supervision * Play the occasional game, help with homework, or simply spend time with him * Occasionally supervise the boys while they swim in the backyard pool * Help care for our small dog ### We're looking for someone who is: * Responsible, reliable, and proactive * Warm, patient, and enjoys being around children * Organized and comfortable managing a busy household * A confident cook (simple family meals) * Neat and respectful of shared spaces * A non-smoker * A confident swimmer * Licensed to drive (required) * Available for occasional weekend help when needed This is a wonderful opportunity for someone looking for a welcoming home while attending school or starting their career.
