Project Engineer

Project Engineer - Engineering Services Intertek is searching for a Project Engineer, Engineering Services to join our Building & Construction team in our Coquitlam, BC office. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow a versatile career in the Testing, Inspection, and Certification (TIC) Industry! The Project Engineer, Engineering Services is responsible for managing complex projects related to regulatory compliance of building products and/or assemblies, direct involvement in Intertek certification programs, and engagement with various external industries and technical associations. What you’ll do: * Work on engineering evaluations for regulatory compliance in Canada and US markets for both standardized and innovative building materials/assemblies * Prepare technical and certification documentation derived from test results and evaluations. * Help write compliance research reports, create Listing reports through Intertek's certification program, and manage QA programs * Perform audits and product sampling at client manufacturing facilities. * Collaborate closely with sales, laboratory, and technical teams to support seamless project execution. * Manage assigned projects from initiation to completion, ensuring quality, accuracy, and timely delivery with continuous communication with clients. * Participate actively in industry committees, standards development activities, and technical association meetings. * Interact with clients, accreditors and/or Authority Having Jurisdiction to resolve any matters What it takes to be successful in this role: * Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, or a related field * Minimum of five years of experience in technical writing, regulatory compliance, and familiarity with the testing, inspection, and certification industry * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Must be able to work independently in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment * Collaborative mindset with the ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams * Microsoft Office software expertise * Valid driver’s license * Be able to travel within Canada and USA Salary & Benefits Information When working with Intertek, you can expect salary and benefit package competitively placed within the local market, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, Registered Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP) with company match, generous vacation/sick time, tuition reimbursement and more.
