A Day in the Life

We are seeking a strategic and execution-focused Advanced Analytics Program Manager to join our Enablement and Strategy team, specifically within the Operational Effectiveness branch. This unique role is pivotal in standing up and overseeing our Analytics Sustainability Program, ensuring the effective management and maintenance of our extensive analytics ecosystem. The position involves defining the program's scope, guidelines, governance structure, operating model, and associated processes. The Advanced Analytics Program Manager will work closely with both new product development teams (squads) and sustainability product teams (sustain squads) to support the existing analytics ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities include:

Intake management & triage, analytics product updates, ecosystem/platform health, and quality assurance.

The role requires implementing a phased approach to stand up the program, collaboratively designing systems and processes for sustain squads, including governance and operating models, roles and responsibilities, and interaction protocols with new product development teams.

Additionally, they will develop metrics tomonitorthe success of the Sustain Program, manage regularreportoutsto leadership, and ensure effective operation of sustainability activities.

A Day in the Life:

  • Program Management: Lead the establishment of the analytics sustainability program, defining its scope, guidelines, governance structure, and operatingmodel. Additionally, build, document, and evolve policies and procedures for efficient team operations.

  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with both new product development squads and sustainability squads as well as inter-team departments (Product Owners, Application Development, Analytics Data Engineering, etc.) todeterminemost effective ways to support the existing analytics ecosystem.

  • Activity Management: Focus on standing up processes so that the Sustain Squads can execute key activities such as intake management, triage, Analytics product updates, ecosystem health, and quality assurance.

  • Phased Approach: Implement a phased approach to stand up the program, initially concentrating on intake management, triage, updates to analytics products, ad hoc requests, data refresh monitoring, and runtime performance.

  • System & Process Design: Design systems and processes for sustainability squads, including governance and operating models, roles and responsibilities, and interaction protocols with new product development teams.

  • Metrics and Reporting: Define and develop metrics tomonitorthe success of the sustainability program, manage regular report outs to leadership, and ensure effective operation of sustainability activities.

  • Continuous Improvement:Establisha culture of continuous improvement byidentifyingopportunities for process optimization and innovation. Implement regular performance reviews and feedback mechanisms to drive ongoing enhancements and ensure the sustainability of improvements.

  • Communication: Effectively communicate project progress, issues, and risks to leadership and cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment and transparency across stakeholders. Proactively manage escalations and follow-ups across teams.

  • Change Management: Lead the development and implementation of change management strategies to ensure the smooth integration of new processes,systems, and tools within the organization. Provide support to teams during transitions, ensuring effective adoption and minimizing resistance.

Qualifications:

  • Skilled in project setup, process documentation, training, andidentifyingsubject matter experts.

  • Highly organized with a keen eye for detail.

  • Effective incommunication across teams and with end users.

  • Strong follow-through and proactive follow-up.

  • Able to act independently or escalate when needed.

  • Deep understanding of the broader analytics and enterprise ecosystem.

  • Skilled in connecting teams, tools, and business needs.

  • Knowledgeable in Power BI, Power Automate, SQL, and Python.

  • Able to evaluate opportunities for process improvement through automation and AI.

  • Experienced in managing and evaluating incoming requests.

  • Knowledgeable in Azure DevOps and the Scrum framework.

  • Expertisein defining and measuring team performance metrics.

  • Proventrack recordwith 5+ years of business experience.

Salary Range: $108,000 - $135,000

PROGRAM MANAGEMENT CAREER STREAM: Program Managers and Directors focus on tactical, operational activities for a major program with broad or ongoing impact. Levels within the program management career stream typically accomplish program objectives through matrixed employee teams and / or vendors who are not direct reports but for which the incumbent has direct accountability to lead. The majority of time is spent overseeing their area of responsibility, managing program/team performance, communicating project and operational developments, planning, prioritizing and / or directing the responsibilities of program team members. Goal achievement is typically accomplished through performance of program team members.

DIFFERENTIATING FACTORS

Autonomy: Manages one or more small-scale, developed or mature programs with well-defined program plans and delivery methodologies.
Is accountable for overall program process, performance, and customer satisfaction.

Organizational Impact: Provides input to establishing program objectives, timelines, milestones, and budgets .
Recommends new policies and procedures that affect program management.
May have budget accountability for one or more programs.
Program decisions are generally made only after consultation with higher level management.

Innovation and Complexity: Problems faced are difficult, and require detailed information gathering, analysis and investigation to understand the problem.
Problems typically impact multiple workstreams, departments or specialties .
Modifies programs management processes to improve program.

Communication and Influence: Communicates and leads meetings with internal and external customers and vendors, conducts briefings to higher level management team.
Solves issues through information exchange, influence and active persuasion without direct exercise of command to gain cooperation of other parties on program execution plans.

Leadership and Talent Management: Leads, directs and reviews the work of a team of professionals and/or vendors who exercise latitude and independence in their assignments.
Direct involvement in daily tasks necessary for successful program execution.
Not directly responsible for hire or fire decisions and people management.

Required Knowledge and Experience: Requires practical knowledge in leading and managing the execution of processes, projects and tactics within one job area.
Typically has advanced knowledge and skills within a specific technical or professional discipline with understanding of the impact of work on other areas of the organization.
Requires a Baccalaureate degree (or for degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree which satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)( 4)(iii)(A) and minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
