What You’ll Do:

In this role, you’ll manage the end‑to‑end processing of accounts payable transactions and support accurate, timely financial reporting for the Shane Homes Group of Companies. Your days will include a mix of routine processing and problem‑solving with internal teams and vendors.

Additionally, you will:

• Obtain approvals, code, enter, and post invoices accurately in the Accounts Payable system and general ledger.

• Research and resolve accounts payable issues with estimators, internal stakeholders, and vendors, escalating items when needed.

• Participate in weekly and ad‑hoc cheque runs, including recording and processing invoices with holdbacks where applicable.

• Process and pay property taxes, customer referrals, and realtor payments (including backup responsibilities as needed).

• Set up new vendors in the system, ensuring all required documentation is complete and compliant, and maintain accurate vendor records.

• Ensure ongoing compliance with WCB and general liability requirements.

• Process invoices and payments for assigned entities within required timelines, supporting strong AP practices and financial reporting.

• Maintain organized filing of posted/paid invoices and supporting documentation.

• Complete account reconciliations as assigned to assist in the preparation of company financial statements.

• Participate in cross‑training and provide support to other accounting team members during absences or peak periods.

Who You Are:

You’re detail‑focused, organized, and take pride in getting things right the first time. You understand that strong accounts payable processes are essential for accurate financial reporting, and you thrive in an environment where deadlines matter and accuracy is non‑negotiable.

You’re also:

• Comfortable working with multiple stakeholders and vendors, and willing to ask questions or flag issues when something doesn’t look right.

• Proactive, dependable, and able to juggle competing priorities while staying organized and compliant.

What You’ll Need:

• 3–5 years of progressive accounting or accounts payable experience.

• Experience in construction or real estate development accounting.

• Proficiency with accounting software; experience with Sage 300 is an asset.
