Job description
BILLING ASSOCIATE (ARIBA / COUPA / MERCADO)
Location: Mississauga, ON

SUMMARY
We are seeking a detail-oriented Billing Associate to join a growing Accounts Receivable team in Mississauga. This position offers exposure to leading billing platforms including Ariba, Coupa, and Mercado, while collaborating with sales, credit, and customer-facing teams. The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume billing environment and be responsible for the timely submission, management, and resolution of customer invoicing activities. QUALIFICATIONS
• High school diploma or GED equivalent required
• Experience working with billing portals such as Ariba, Coupa, Mercado, or similar platforms
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet strict deadlines in a high-volume environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Comfortable interacting with customers and internal stakeholders
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• SAP experience considered an asset
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Submit customer invoices through billing portals including Ariba, Coupa, Mercado, and similar systems
• Ensure invoices are submitted within established timelines, typically within 1-3 days
• Act as a primary contact for billing-related inquiries from customers and internal stakeholders
• Generate and maintain bi-weekly reporting across various billing platforms
• Follow up with appropriate parties to resolve issues preventing invoice submission
• Support internal teams by addressing billing concerns and escalating issues when necessary
• Investigate and assist with the resolution of invoice discrepancies and billing disputes
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives within the Accounts Receivable function
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with customer billing requirements
• Perform other related duties as assigned
