Data Migration Specialist – Chalk River, ON – Hybrid - Full Time – ID# 7085

We are seeking a Data Migration Specialist to support our growing team in Chalk River, ON. In this role, you’ll play a key part in driving project excellence, collaborating with industry leaders, and ensuring high-quality outcomes across complex initiatives.

Role & Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with project teams and subject matter experts (SMEs) to identify, access, and extract all database fields, including custom and add-on fields, along with their associated labels and metadata.
  • Ensure outputs are documented in formats accessible to both business users and technical integration and migration teams.
  • Develop comprehensive data mapping documentation that clearly distinguishes between user-entered (fillable) fields and system-generated fields driven by predefined rules or configurations.
  • Analyze and document data field attributes and constraints, including field types, character limits, and validation rules.
  • Design and generate reports using system data fields based on user-defined queries provided by project teams and SMEs.
  • Extract and document all system value lists and corresponding values to support data mapping and validation activities.
  • Review, capture, and document system configuration rules, translating technical configurations into clear, business-friendly process descriptions.
  • Support end-to-end data migration and integration activities, including data mapping, data transformation, and validation.
  • Participate in integration and data testing, including identifying, documenting, and assisting in the resolution of data-related defects and discrepancies.

Qualifications
  • Over 3 years project experience related to Data Migration and Data Mapping
  • Ability to create and run complex SQL and Oracle queries
  • Experience in creating Data Mapping documentation
  • Experience with Migration and Integration validation and testing
