Job description

Position Overview

Autodesk is the global leader in design and make technology, including industry-leading 3D design, engineering, and entertainment software and services, that offer customers better outcomes through automation and insights for their design and make processes. If you’ve ever driven a high-performance car, admired a towering skyscraper, used a smartphone, or watched a great film, chances are you’ve experienced what millions of Autodesk customers are doing with our software.

We're looking for a strategic and customer-obsessed Senior Technical Product Manager to define and drive the vision for our data products at Autodesk. In this role, you'll shape roadmaps — identifying market opportunities across global regions, and partnering closely with architecture, engineering, and product teams to bring meaningful capabilities to life. You'll champion the value of data, as a transformative tool for customer workflows, communicating that value persuasively to customers, executives, and external audiences. Success here requires someone who can make the complex simple, navigate ambiguity with confidence, and build trusted relationships across a diverse, global organization. If you're energized by the intersection of AEC industry dynamics, data interoperability, and platform-scale thinking — and you're ready to represent Autodesk on the world stage — this is your role.

Responsibilities

  • Define the vision and roadmap for data products, from initial concept to execution and delivery

  • Cultivate and manage relationships with architecture, engineering, and product teams across Autodesk and different regions

  • Recognize market opportunities in various regions and guide the Product Data vision and strategy, including decisions on building in-house versus buying

  • Collaborate directly with Autodesk product teams to outline, prioritize, and plan the development of new methodologies and tools.

  • Convey the value of our products to customers, differentiating Autodesk's offerings from competitors, and create and manage a robust go-to-market plan

  • Represent the product strongly at customer sites, conferences, and other external venues, showcasing Autodesk's understanding of the industry and the competitive market

  • Synthesize customer feedback and analyze quantitative data to draw insights, make informed decisions, and measure the success of a product

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience

  • Minimum of 8 years of Product Management experience in a SaaS or enterprise technology environment

  • Experience defining product strategy and delivering customer facing products from concept through launch

  • Strong understanding of data products, data platforms, interoperability, or data driven workflows. Passion for using data to improve customer outcomes

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex technical and business concepts for diverse audiences

  • Demonstrated experience influencing cross functional teams and building strong partnerships across engineering, architecture, product, and business organizations

  • Strong leadership, prioritization, stakeholder management, and decision making skills in fast paced and ambiguous environments

  • Knowledge of the AEC industry and competitive landscape is preferred, with the ability to understand customer workflows and market trends

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Additional languages are a plus

  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as business needs require

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience applying AEC industry standards such as IFC, ISO 19650, and related interoperability standards

  • Experience with BIM platforms such as Revit and an understanding of managing large scale AEC project data

  • Proven experience launching platform capabilities, data services, or enterprise products with measurable business impact

  • Experience working in Agile or Scrum product development environments

  • Strong understanding of user experience principles and the ability to incorporate customer centered design into product strategy

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously

  • Experience working with cloud platforms, APIs, data integration, or enterprise platform products is highly desirable
