Millwright (433A) – Night Shift – Scarborough, ON

A food manufacturing facility in Scarborough, Ontario is seeking a skilled Millwright (433A) to join its Maintenance & Engineering team. This is a full-time Night Shift role supporting continuous, efficient production through preventive maintenance and responsive troubleshooting.

Shift & Compensation

• Night Shift: Sunday to Thursday

• Hours: 10:30pm – 6:30am

• Hourly Rate: $44.20/hr + night shift premium

Role Overview

The Millwright will work as part of a high-performing maintenance team, ensuring equipment reliability and supporting safe, efficient production in a regulated food environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues.

• Use diagnostic tools and test equipment to identify failures.

• Perform and document preventive maintenance using manual and computerized systems.

• Read and interpret mechanical, electrical, pneumatic schematics, technical drawings, and manuals.

• Install, calibrate, and maintain instrumentation and production control systems.

• Adjust and calibrate weighing systems, metal detectors, printers, and labeling equipment.

• Perform welding and basic machine fabrication.

• Support production and engineering teams while following all safety requirements.

• Operate and perform basic repairs on packaging equipment.

Qualifications

• 433A Millwright License

• 3–5 years of hands?on experience in food, beverage, pharmaceutical, pet food, specialty chemical, or similar production environments.

• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and multi?tasking skills.

• Ability to work onsite in Scarborough five days per week.

• Must be 18+ and legally authorized to work in Canada (no sponsorship available).

Preferred Attributes

• Trade certification or related technical education.
