Job description

Title: Guidewire PolicyCenter
Location: Markham, ON

Duration: 06-12 months

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled developer with expertise in Guidewire PolicyCenter to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development, specifically within the insurance domain, and will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining integrations with external systems.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's (or higher) degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related fields, or equivalent experience.
  • 5 years of proven experience in Guidewire Integration Development.
  • Expertise in GOSU Language, configuration, and coding using Guidewire tools and accelerators, Guidewire Batch, and predefined plugins.
  • Experience coding RESTful APIs and working with multiple programming languages such as C, Java, Python, etc.
  • Guidewire Associate Certification.
  • Guidewire Integration and Policy Center experience.
  • Experience working on Guidewire Cloud, preferably Las Lenas.
  • Hands-on experience with Guidewire Cloud APIs for extending and integrating with Insurance Suite in the cloud.
  • Experience with Integration Gateway and Event Driven Architecture.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

  • Guidewire Ace Certification, preferably Integration.
  • Guidewire Billing Center Configuration Knowledge.
  • Experience writing automated GUnit tests for integration.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Build architectural diagrams and design documents.
  • Write programs, configure packages, and deploy software.
  • Perform peer code reviews.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
  • Design and implement integrations with external systems.
  • Ensure standard methodologies are followed in code development, testing, and deployment.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Manage the technical aspects of Guidewire upgrades and patches.
  • Resolve and address complex technical issues promptly.
  • Monitor system performance and recommend improvements to enhance functionality.
