Maintenance Electrician / Electromechanical Technician

Food Manufacturing

Shift : 8 to 12 hours rotational

Maintenance Electrician

• 2 years Manufacturing Maintenance Electrical experience preferred
• Multi skilled with entry level electromechanical experience a plus!
• Must have PLC experience.
• Must know how to use VOM Meter Megger AMP Meter and Chart Recorder
• Sound working knowledge of Electrical Safe Work Practices; AC and DC Electrical Theory; reading / creating electrical prints and control schematics; motor control; personal computer hardware and software; computer networks; pneumatic and hydraulic valves; photo eyes; proximity sensors; limit switches; breakers & fuses.
• Must have basic electric motor repair electrical construction trouble shooting skills.
• Must have some electrical schematic and blueprint reading skills.
• Must know the operation of a motor starter and how to rebuild
• Must have some understanding of AC drive motor controllers.

Work Environment

The employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. This job is performed in a shop environment : hazardous materials; greasy slippery factory floors. Note : Initially the candidate will be hired through a third party with the scope of becoming permanent depending on the performance at work and ability to take responsibilities and work with minimal supervision. The shift will rotate every month. If hired you are required to be available and flexible to work 8 to 12 hours shifts weekends holidays as per business operation needs.
