This position is based in rural SW Ontario and will work for a Canadian market-leading manufacturer of animal health medicants and other animal health care products. Our client is Health Canada licensed, FDA approved, and HACCP certified, and occupies a dominant position in their market.In this full-time, permanent Director of Regulatory, R&D role, you will oversee the management of both the Regulatory and Research & Development teams, setting the strategic direction for the business unit to ensure the timely development and approval of new products in both the Canadian and International markets. This position reports to the CEO.Responsibilities Key responsibilities include:Overall responsibility for implementing regulatory strategies to ensure market access and complianceManaging in-house research and development programs by leading the R&D team in the design and execution of preclinical and clinical studiesLead and accountability for Regulatory and R&D teams, coordinating with cross-functional groupsQualificationsAdvanced degree (Ph.D., Pharm.D., or equivalent) in a relevant scientific discipline10+ years of progressive experience in regulatory/R&D within the pharmaceutical industryProven track record of successful regulatory submissions and product approvals5 years active management of personnel with demonstrated listening, coaching, and feedback skillsStrong performance orientation with ability to motivate and coach othersExcellent communication skills, both verbal and writtenAdvanced understanding of statistics and mathematical conceptsCompensation and Benefits This key management position earns a competitive salary of $150,000/year DOE.
