Job Title: Journeyman Electrician

1 month project

12 hour days - Lots of overtime per week.

The shift starts with afternoon straight days and transitions to evening shifts, including midnight hours.

Job Description

We are seeking a Journeyman Electrician with conveyor experience for a short-term project at a bustling Amazon site. The role involves building a new Auto Divert to Aisle (ADTA) system, running cables, and ensuring accurate cable management.

Responsibilities

• Install and route pre-labelled cables to designated locations according to blueprints and electrical drawings.
• Pull, measure, and cut heavy-gauge wire to required lengths, connecting cables to main breakers, panels, sensors, and other electrical components.
• Perform cable management, bundling, and securing of wiring to maintain organized installations.
• Read and interpret blueprints, layouts, and wiring schematics.
• Install wiring to hampers, sensors, and related equipment.
• Handle and organize approximately 3 skids of wire and other electrical materials.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with project specifications and electrical standards.
• Collaborate with millwrights, complete micro adjustments, and troubleshoot conveyor systems.

Essential Skills

• Experience with industrial or commercial cable installation.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and electrical drawings.
• Proficiency in working with heavy-gauge wire and cable terminations.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow installation plans.
• Ability to lift, carry, and move wire spools and electrical materials.
• Knowledge of cable management best practices and job site safety procedures.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in installation/construction/maintenance.
• Conveyor installation experience.
• Worked at Amazon ADTA's.
• Power tool experience with measuring tape, power drills.
• Mechanical inclination.

Work Environment

The role is set in a live Amazon site alongside four other employees. Personal Protective Equipment such as hard hats, steel-toed shoes, and safety vests are required. The work involves using a variety of tools, including measuring tools, hand tools, and power tools, within a collaborative environment that adheres to safety standards.

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $45.00/hr.
