Job Title: Assembler – Day ShiftJob DescriptionThis role focuses on assembling customized high‑efficiency power distribution units from the ground up. You will use hand and power tools to build metal enclosures, complete detailed electrical wiring based on schematics, and perform testing to ensure each unit operates safely and reliably. The position offers structured training, teamwork, and the opportunity to contribute directly to an important, time‑sensitive project delivering multiple power distribution units over the next several months.
Responsibilities
- Assemble power distribution units from scratch, including building and fitting the metal enclosure that resembles a large locker with multiple doors.
- Use hand and power tools, such as screwdrivers, wrenches, and air‑compressed power tools, to perform mechanical assembly tasks accurately and safely.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics to complete electrical wiring to panels and install components into the outer shell of the distribution unit.
- Perform detailed electrical assembly work, ensuring proper routing, connection, and secure installation of wiring and electrical components.
- Conduct testing on completed power distribution units to verify functionality, safety, and quality standards before units are delivered.
- Work closely with a designated training buddy to learn and follow established procedures for mechanical assembly and, later, wiring tasks.
- Collaborate with team members in a small, project‑dedicated warehouse, contributing to efficient, coordinated assembly processes.
- Carry out general housekeeping and support tasks, including cleaning work areas, building skids, and completing other duties as required.
- Follow all safety guidelines, use tools and equipment correctly, and maintain an organized and efficient work environment.
- Adapt to customized product requirements, ensuring each unit meets specific project specifications and quality expectations.
Essential Skills- At least 2 years of experience performing electrical wiring and electrical assembly in a production or similar environment.
- Minimum 2 years of experience reading and working from electrical schematics to complete wiring and assembly tasks.
- At least 1 year of experience in mechanical assembly using hand and power tools such as screwdrivers, wrenches, and air‑compressed tools.
- Ability to accurately interpret technical drawings and electrical diagrams and apply them to practical assembly work.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high‑quality, safe, and reliable electrical assemblies.
- Comfort working in close quarters and as part of a team on shared assembly projects.
- Ability to follow established procedures and adapt to customized product requirements.
- Basic understanding of electrical safety practices and safe use of mechanical tools.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- Experience working on customized or project‑based electrical assemblies is an asset.
- Previous exposure to warehouse or light industrial environments is beneficial.
- Demonstrated ability to learn new processes through buddy or mentorship‑style training.
- Strong communication skills for collaborating effectively with team members.
- Reliability and consistency in attending scheduled shifts and meeting project timelines.

Work Environment
This position is based in a small warehouse rented specifically for a dedicated power distribution project. The facility is well lit, with all materials provided and organized to support quick and efficient assembly. You will work Monday to Friday, starting on the day shift from 7:00 . to 3:30 . for several weeks of training before moving to the afternoon shift from 3:30 . to 12:00 ., which includes a shift premium. Work is performed in close quarters as part of a team, with regular use of hand and power tools and exposure to a slightly dusty environment. The setting is a typical light industrial workspace where practical, comfortable attire suitable for warehouse and assembly work is appropriate.
