- Remuneration: $58.95 - $60.86 per hour superannuation annual leave loading salary packaging options
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Physiotherapist to join our dedicated team at Calvary Mater Newcastle. This position provides specialist physiotherapy services across both inpatient and outpatient palliative care settings supporting patients with life-limiting illnesses to achieve the highest possible level of comfort function independence and quality of life. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team you will deliver advanced assessment treatment and symptom management interventions while contributing to service development clinical leadership and the ongoing enhancement of palliative care services.
Your main duties will include:
- Provide advanced physiotherapy assessment treatment and management for patients receiving palliative care across inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Support patients to maximise functional independence mobility comfort and quality of life throughout their care journey.
- Assess and prescribe mobility aids equipment pressure care interventions and other strategies to optimise safety and wellbeing.
- Collaborate closely with medical nursing and allied health professionals to deliver coordinated patient-centred care.

About You:
- Recognised completed degree in physiotherapyand authorised to practise by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Demonstrated communication organisational and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Current class 1A driver licence.
