  • Coordinate with the Production Manager and Supervisors to monitor inventory levels of operational supplies, including uniforms, chemicals, cardboard, boxes, packaging materials, bags, and other consumables.
  • Monitor contract expiration dates and proactively manage renewals or initiate competitive sourcing activities.
  • Serve as the plant's subject matter expert for Purchase Orders (POs), vendor setup, and procurement processes.
  • Provide training and support to internal stakeholders on procurement systems and best practices.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and track procurement performance metrics.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Production, Finance, and suppliers to improve procurement efficiency and ensure compliance.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to operational excellence.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Candidates with less experience but a strong willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Purchasing, Logistics, Finance, or a related field is strongly preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
  • Experience using ERP systems is considered an asset.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
  • Strong negotiation and supplier relationship management skills.
  • Experience reviewing, drafting, negotiating, or administering contracts.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to work effectively under tight deadlines.
  • Strong customer service mindset with excellent teamwork and collaboration skills.

Work Environment

  • Full-time, on-site position based at the manufacturing facility.
  • Primarily office-based with regular interaction on the production floor to support operational procurement activities.

Why Consider This Opportunity?

  • Join a stable and growing food manufacturing organization.
  • Opportunity to influence procurement strategy and supplier performance.
  • Collaborative leadership team with opportunities for professional growth.
