Job Summary
Provide expertise to identify, assess and control workplace hazards and ensure compliance with occupational health and safety requirements. Work with operations to implement safety programs, deliver training, and support continuous improvement to reduce incidents.

Main Duties
- Develop, implement and maintain occupational health and safety programs, policies and procedures.
- Conduct site inspections, hazard assessments and workplace audits to identify risks and recommend controls.
- Perform incident investigations and root cause analyses, and prepare corrective action plans.
- Deliver safety training, orientations and toolbox talks for employees and supervisors.
- Monitor regulatory changes and support compliance with applicable federal and provincial occupational health and safety legislation.
- Prepare and maintain safety records, reports and management dashboards; communicate findings to stakeholders and senior management.
Requirements
- Post-secondary diploma or degree in occupational health and safety, environmental health, engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in occupational health and safety or a closely related role.
- Demonstrated experience conducting risk assessments, workplace inspections and incident investigations.
- Working knowledge of applicable federal and provincial occupational health and safety legislation, standards and best practices.
- Experience developing safety procedures, delivering training, and supporting behavior-based safety initiatives.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with safety management or incident reporting software; strong report-writing skills.
