General Labourer - Packaging

Location: Cornwall, Ontario (On-site)
Work Type: Temporary Contract – July 8 & 9, 2026 (48-hour project)
Salary: $21.26 + 4% vacation pay
Vacancies: 8–12 positions depending on shift assignment (8-hour and/or 12-hour shifts)We are currently recruiting reliable General Labourers to support a short-term packaging project for a leading food manufacturing facility. This assignment involves packing and stacking cases of product onto skids in a clean, team-oriented environment. The project will run continuously for 48 hours beginning at 7:00 AM on July 8, 2026, requiring staffing coverage at all times.What You'll Do

• Pack cases of granola bars into designated containers
• Build and stack skids according to specifications
• Perform repetitive lifting, carrying, and palletizing tasks
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Follow all food safety, quality, and workplace safety procedures
• Work as part of a team to ensure continuous production coverage

What You'll Bring

• Ability to perform repetitive physical work throughout a shift
• Reliable transportation and ability to arrive on time for scheduled shifts
• Ability to work either 8-hour or 12-hour shifts, including days, afternoons, and overnight assignments
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
• CSA-approved safety footwear required

Important Requirements

• Must avoid peanuts and peanut products for 24 hours prior to the assignment
• Must successfully complete a mandatory pre-employment quiz
• Candidates will receive study materials in advance and will be required to write the quiz at the Drake Cornwall office
• Candidates with older criminal backgrounds (5+ years) may be considered, provided there is no history of violence or aggression
