Provide safe and effective pharmaceutical care by accurately dispensing medications and supporting patient medication management. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize therapy and maintain regulatory and safety standards.

Main Duties
- Dispense prescription medications accurately, ensuring correct labeling, packaging, and dosage instructions.
- Review prescriptions for appropriateness, drug interactions, contraindications, and dosing; clarify orders with prescribers as necessary.
- Counsel patients and caregivers on medication use, side effects, adherence, storage, and lifestyle considerations.
- Monitor patient medication therapy, perform medication reviews, and recommend therapy adjustments in collaboration with prescribers.
- Maintain comprehensive pharmacy records, process claims and documentation, and ensure compliance with professional and regulatory requirements.
- Manage inventory control, order medications and supplies, and participate in quality assurance and safety initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited institution.
- Current registration/licensure as a pharmacist in the relevant Canadian province or territory.
- Working knowledge of drug therapies, pharmacology, medication safety, and pharmacy practice standards.
- Experience using pharmacy management software, electronic health records, and prescription processing systems.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy in dispensing, and ability to maintain confidential records.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
