Technology & Infrastructure (T&I) is the backbone and the future-forward arm of CBC/Radio-Canada. This is a hybrid position with a mix of in-office and remote work. Work arrangements will be discussed with hiring managers per departmental guidelines.
Role
Plan assign and review the teams work while coordinating and ensuring accurate information flow across all relevant departments.
Coordinate day-to-day operations for regular production and special projects within the CC team.
Support the CC team supervisor in meeting our partners business objectives.
Key Tasks
- Plan and assign work to direct reports based on priorities volume deadlines and special requests ensuring strict compliance with corporate standards policies and procedures.
- Organize work schedules to ensure seamless seven-day coverage across rotating shifts in full compliance with the collective agreement.
- Review and approve time sheets expense claims petty cash vouchers and other operational documentation for all direct reports.
- Interpret standards policies and procedures in line with established practices and guide the team production staff and managers in resolving operational issues; co-ordinate information flow and notify affected departments of updates or changes.
- Develop team members professional skills and operational knowledge.
- Recommend process enhancements to improve departmental efficiency.
- Stay abreast of workflow changes that could impact team activities.
- Perform other duties related to the position including respeaking tasks as required.
Job Requirements
Education:
- Bachelors degree or equivalent.
Experience:
- Three years relevant experience including at least five in a captioning role.
Skills:
- Solid command of French (working language).
- Excellent computer proficiency.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Knowledge of the other official language.
- Wide general knowledge.
- Knowledge of current events.
