Job description

Tasks

  • Participate in integrating quality requirements into new product development.
  • Support the APQP process and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams throughout projects.
  • Coordinate Process FMEA meetings and prepare control plans.
  • Work closely with the quality control team to validate dimensional inspections of parts.
  • Analyze customer complaints and non-conformities to identify trends and implement action plans.
  • Conduct risk analyses, root cause analyses (5 Whys method, 8D), and coordinate corrective actions.
  • Act as a representative of customer needs and expectations within the organization.
  • Prepare, coordinate, and deliver First Article Inspection (FAI) packages according to customer requirements.
  • Manage deviation requests, analyze discrepancies, and ensure proper follow-up.
  • Participate in internal audits of the Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the Quality Department.
  • Collaborate with production, engineering, and project management teams to achieve quality objectives.
  • Perform all other related duties as required.

Job requirements

  • College diploma in Aeronautics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field (an asset).
  • Experience in quality assurance or a manufacturing environment, preferably in the aerospace industry.
  • Knowledge of quality processes such as APQP, FAI, FMEA, 8D, and the 5 Whys methodology.
  • Good knowledge of ISO 9001 or AS9100 standards (an asset).
