Student Recruitment & Admissions at Simon Fraser University is often the front door for newly admitted students as they embark upon their academic journey. The Student Recruitment unit is dedicated to an inclusive and accessible approach to assisting prospective students in finding the best fit program for their post-secondary journey. We seek to be student-centred in our policies and procedures to meet a diverse applicant community and are proactive and responsive in our effort to support enrolment management at the institutional level.
About the Role
Submits requests for articulation of transfer credit courses by communicating with the appropriate department, receives and verifies the articulation, updates the database and communicates the decision. Develops and maintains transfer credit databases. Reviews transfer credit tables for accuracy and updates the databases and admissions staff. Recommends changes to student systems policy and procedure, regarding admission and transfer. Monitors the BC Transfer Guide for accuracy and advises the BC Council on Admissions & Transfer (BCCAT) of any discrepancies.
Qualifications
High School graduation and one-year post-secondary education including training in office practices, word-processing, and database applications. 4 years of experience. An equivalent combination of formal education, certificate/program of study and experience is acceptable.
- Excellent organizational, analytical reasoning, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to handle confidential matters with discretion.
- Ability to exercise mature judgment and initiative.
